Exploring Gender Equity in the Coffee Value Chain

We’re excited to be learning about The Partnership for Gender Equity (PGE) on Instagram Live on Thursday, July 15 at 7am PDT/4pm BST.

The Partnership for Gender Equity believes that gender equity is the foundation for healthy families, communities, and a sustainable coffee supply chain. The CRG’s Freda Yuan will be talking to Kimberly Easson, Founder and CEO of PGE, to learn all about the incredible work they do, the impact they’re making, and how the greater coffee community can get involved.

Tune in on Thursday, July 15 on the CRG’s Instagram.

About PGE

The Partnership for Gender Equity (PGE) is creating common tools and methodologies to support the coffee and cocoa industries’ engagement and investment in gender equity across the value chain. These tools will serve to improve the livelihoods of producers and enhance the sustainable supply of quality coffee. Their evidence-based approach comprises three core elements: a validated set of tools, a common language for gender equity and a platform for action that supports scalable investments and action across the sector. By harnessing the power of collective action within the industry, growers, buyers, exporters, importers, roasters, brands, private foundations, development agencies, academic institutions and more can create a positive impact from community to cup (and bar), and for every step in between.
